RACE DIARY FOR 2009-2010

Hello, thanks for stopping in to see the results of the day. On this page we will give you a full review of our teams race day at the strip, we will post the days photos and results too.

4& ROTA MEET 1/2/2010

Hi everyone, we had a good day at Framautolite for the Four and Rota meeting, when we got there in the morning it was raining and we were not sure if the event would be canned, but in the end the sun came out and after missing the first round of qualifying because we felt it was not safe to run the car after the rain Reece ran in the second round of qualifying.

In the first run the clutch slipped a little in 3rd and 4th gear, next run the waste gate hose came off and only gave us 24 pounds of boost, the next run was better, the car was moving around alot as we were trying to get the power to the track which was the tricky part. The pink PAC car scraped the wall at the end of its run which cause a far bit of damage. That was a real shame to see.

The track was good and start line was sticky...

Hi guys, well our team is really for a great weekend of horsepower and fast times (et)...

The skyline is on form and we will be running it as hard as we can for the meeting, we have made a few

changes and feel that its at its best it can be...

Reece and I will load up tomorrow and then hit the road about 6am on sunday to beat the crowds, so if you see our transporter on the road give us a toot. Even as a V8 guy I'm really looking forward to the event...

As for the GTO we are waiting for JBRC to lengthen the front, then we can get it sent down, maybe even air freight so we can be at the nat's in March.

On another note I'm really gutted to miss running my car at the 4 and Rota meet as an exhibition car, I was meant to be in the show too on saturday with the GTR, so we are hanging out for the parts to get here so we can get into it straight away.

Any way come and say hello on sunday, ask any questions, I,m the back up, fuel and air pressure guy on sunday, lol... Will be missing getting out there as the track is always great at this meeting, plus with the chassis man (Terry B) overseeing the track prep it will be really good.

24/1/2010 GTR TESTING PASS FOR THE 4 AND ROTA MEETING...

Good day at fram yesterday for the HTL team.

We held off on our first run of the morning hoping the track was going to warm up, it did slightly.

The cars 60ft was the best it has on a NZ track, with a 1.19, which could be a sign of good things to come providing we can string a good run together.

The clutch slipped through the middle of the track and finally locked up in 5th Gear which resulted in a slow half track, low trap speed.

This week were doing our regular maintenance with the head gasket, clutch etc and we will be hoping for some good weather and a good track at the 4 and rota nats!

Today we were at Fram AUTOLITE testing the GTR, things went well, we had to try and tame the new larger turbo, the smaller turbo made great torque at 6800 rpm and this new larger turbo makes it torque at 7400 rpm so we had to mess around with the launch limiter, boost setting and a few other things, all done via the lap top. We think we have it sorted for the 24th of this month.

Sam and uncle Reece match off...

The upset of the day, will Sam catch Uncle Reece, my guess is yes...

The skyline will be testing at framautolite on Wed, we will be doing a lot of testing before 24th as the new turbo is bogging on the line and we think the car will have to leave the line harder to get the turbo to do its job.

So we plan to step things up for when this car leaves the line. There has been some progress on the 350Z and we are building a parts list for the GTO, we have been repairs bent and damaged parts this week.

The skyline will run at the comp meeting on the 24th of Jan, then at the Four and Rota Nats the next weekend.

Due to a crash at taupo our pontiac will be out for the rest of the season, we have stripped the car and

are starting to order parts and get it rebuilt asap.

These thing s happened in this sport and its one thing I didnt think you happen to this car, but it has so all we can do is learn from this crash and try everything to avoided this happening again.
